Referring to your Despatch No. 112 of the 5th.
June, 1917, I have the honour to state that Mr. L. Longinotto has requested that his wife may be provided with a passage to the Colony early in April next.
2.
If it is possible to grant a passport to Mrs. Longinotto, I shall be glad if the Crown Agents may be instructed to provide a passage accordingly. Mrs. Longinotto's address is
46a Pall Mall, London.
3.
I may take this opportunity to mention that in his letter of appointment from the Colonial Office Mr. Longinotto was informed that his salary would be subject to a deduction of 4% as a contribution towards the provision of pensions for Widows and Orphans of Government Officers. Under the Ordinance controlling this pensions fund officers who are appointed on the temporary staff are not entitled to contribute to the fund pending transfer to the permanent staff.
